Wow! What a fantastic day :) Highlights of the trip according to the children were:
- the cabin as we got to experience what it would have been like for the early immigrants - sharing small bunks; a bucket for a toilet (and for spewing in); no privacy; putting up with snorers; and doing all this for 6 months!
- the Peter Blake exhibition - what an inspirational NZer with his lucky red socks. Also the grinding/steering a yacht team game. Move over Team NZ, room 7 is here to take over!
Thanks to the parents who helped out today. Sleep well everyone!

Learning to use SRA
We are going to be using the SRA programme to help us improve our reading skills. First we are working together to learn how to work through the process. Then we get to work through the process by ourselves. Mrs Milne remembers doing SRA when she was at school. Funny!

Today at Pinehill our cluster cross country team won! We are so proud of our R7 runners who tried extremely hard. Ben and Jess both got second. Hannah and Connor were both 4th and Sakalia was placed 17th. The rest of R7 got first prize for cheering the loudest!
