Cyber Safety


This morning Mrs Wansink came in to talk to us about cyber safety. We learnt about how someone could get bullied over the internet. Sometimes physical bullying starts cyber bullying. If we see someone being bullied or we are being bullied ourselves, we need to be part of the solution and not part of the problem. Telling an adult who we trust is one way to solve the bullying problem.

We are doing Kia Kaha in class. Kia Kaha means be brave, be strong, stand up and be proud of yourself. In class we  are making a Waka (drawn) which has all of us on it and together we are all on a learning journey. Posted by Harrison, Connor and Nick             

Throwing and catching skills

Yesterday we practised our throwing and catching skills.
The first photo is us throwing and catching bean bags and the second is us throwing and catching with bouncy balls.

The best thing was trying to do the trick and the trick was to roll a ball down your arm and bounce it off your forearm and try catch it.

In Room 7 we have been making Tantrix's. The idea of Tantrix is to make a continuous line using the tiles. We have to be careful and make sure that all the colours match up.
Can you see a red line made up of 29 tiles? It looks like 33 but there's actually a mistake. TRICKY!!!

Thursday was 'Smoothie' making day. Apart from having fun, the aim of the activity was team work. Everyone had a specific role which meant no one was the boss and everyone was included. Yum!
